The Basics
What is this challenge?
Climb to Sněžka is a stair-climbing challenge where your floors add up continuously across 3 milestones — Sněžka (429 floors), Mont Blanc (1,286 floors), and Everest (2,366 floors). You have 1 year from when you start, and you progress entirely at your own pace.
How much does it cost?
Nothing. The challenge is 100% free for everyone in the group.
How long do I have?
You have 1 year from the day you start. There is no fixed start date — everyone begins their own personal 1-year clock when they join.
What Counts
What counts as a floor?
One floor = one storey climbed by stairs. For reference, climbing from the ground floor to the 7th floor counts as 7 floors. Only stair climbing counts — not walking uphill, slopes, or ramps outdoors.
Does walking uphill or hiking count?
No. Only actual stairs count — staircases with defined steps. A hill or slope, even a steep one, does not count.
Do gym stair machines or fitness trackers count?
Yes — if your fitness tracker or gym equipment tracks actual floors climbed (not just steps), you can log those floors. If it only counts steps or distance without distinguishing floors, it does not count.
Do outdoor staircases count?
Yes, any staircase with actual steps counts — indoors or outdoors (park steps, stadium stairs, street staircases, etc.).
Does taking the escalator count?
No. The whole point is choosing stairs over the elevator or escalator.
Logging Floors
How do I log my floors?
Open the tracker, select your name, and add the number of floors you climbed. You can use the quick-add buttons (+1, +2, +5, +10) or type a custom amount. Floors accumulate — you never start over.
How often do I need to log?
There is no requirement. Log whenever it suits you — daily, weekly, or whenever you remember. It is entirely at your own pace.
Should I only log my own floors?
Yes — please only ever log floors for yourself. Be careful when selecting your name and entering a number. If you make a mistake, you can correct it using the small correction buttons (−1, −2, −5) on your card, or type a negative number for a larger correction. If something goes wrong, contact the organiser directly.
What if I make a bigger mistake?
Get in touch with the organiser who can correct your total directly.
The Milestones
What are the 3 milestones?

Never. Your floors keep adding up continuously. Reach 429 and you have climbed Sněžka — just keep going toward Mont Blanc, then Everest.
What do I get for finishing a tier?
A custom physical medal — one for Sněžka, one for Mont Blanc, and one for Everest.
Joining
How do I join?
Let the organiser know you want to take part and you will be added to the tracker. You cannot add yourself.
How do I get my medal?
Let the organiser know a bit before you are about to finish a tier so they have time to get your medal ready, then let them know when you actually complete it.
Fair Play & Disclaimer
Is this tracked automatically?
No — it runs entirely on trust. You log your own floors honestly. The goal is to build a healthy habit, not to win a race.
Is this platform secure?
This tracker is a simple open tool with no login or password protection. It is not a professional application — the organiser is not a developer and set this up purely to help the group track progress in a fun way. By using it you accept that anyone with the link can see the data, and you use it entirely at your own risk. Do not enter any personal or sensitive information. Please do not share the link with anyone outside of the challenge participants.
What if something goes wrong with the tracker?
Contact the organiser directly. They can correct floor counts, add or remove participants, and fix data if needed.
